Natural Horsemanship
Western riding originates from America. Here the cowboys rode to keep their cattle together in this way on their horses. They sometimes had to sit on the horse for hours on end, which calls for a relaxed riding style. You ride on a western saddle with a blanket underneath, also known as a pad. In most cases, the bridle does not have a noseband. The goal in western riding is to eventually be able to ride with a loose rein.
After all, Western riding has four disciplines: inspections, dressage, speed games and working with livestock.

A little word from Dirk about the philosophy of Natural Horsemanship; Natural Horsemanship means dealing with horses in a natural way, looking at their instincts and herd mentality. Nature, need, behavior and instinct are central here. The relationship between horse and human uses methods such as communication that can be recognized by observations of horses in the wild. The aim is to build through greater understanding a communication based on mutual respect and trust. Natural Horsemanship is not a discipline in itself, but a way of dealing with horses. The indispensable basis for anyone who has or wants to buy their own horse.
